I keep hives at pollinator friendly farms in Dover and Lee, New Hampshire. Honey bees forage in a two mile radius around the hive so honey is made from the nectar of a delicious variety of wildflowers and flowering trees. This means flavor and color will vary as the seasons change and different plants come into bloom. In this area some of the major nectar plants are dandelion, black locust, blackberry, basswood, purple loosestrife, japanese knotweed, goldenrod, and aster.
